The "Friends of Evgeniya Pangelova" Foundation believes in integrity and transparency—both on the sports field and in the way we handle your information. This policy explains how we collect and use data related to our activities and the 60/40 system.
We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to conduct a fair and objective selection:
For nominated athletes: Name, age, and sports club. This information is needed to identify the children who have shown exceptional character.
For shared gestures: Descriptions of actions (willpower, honesty, support). These stories form the basis of the team’s assessment.
Anonymity of the sharer: The "Friend" card system is designed so that the child sharing a gesture about their teammate remains completely anonymous. We do not require or store any personal data from the person sharing the story.
For scholars: Photos and brief biographical details are published only after receiving explicit written consent from a parent or guardian.
The sole purpose of collecting this data is to determine the recipients of the annual awards through our 60/40 assessment system. Your stories help us discover and distinguish the talents who serve as examples of kindness and honesty, both in the forest and beyond.
Administrators: A small circle of people directly involved in managing the foundation who process the incoming information.
Coaching Staff: Coaches of the respective clubs have access to the summarized stories of their athletes. This helps them make an informed decision for their portion of the assessment (40%). Important: Coaches see what was written, but not who wrote it.
Publicity: Only the names and stories of the selected scholars are published on our website. Raw nomination data and the names of children who were not selected remain confidential.
We keep nomination data for the duration of the respective annual competitive season. Upon completion of the selection cycle and the presentation of awards, raw voting data is deleted or anonymized for statistical purposes.
Since we primarily work with minors, we encourage parents to be actively involved. Every parent has the right to:
Access: Request information about the data collected regarding their child (if they were nominated).
Correction: Request the correction or deletion of information.
Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for the use of photos at any time.
For any questions regarding your data or rights, you can contact us at: office@pangelova.foundation.
